Combined "One Team" strengthens Kubota, Honda, and equipment support across the region
Oconomowoc, WI — August 3, 2026
Engine Power, the longest-tenured Kubota engine distributor in the Americas, announced today that it has acquired the assets and operations of Northern Power Products, Inc. (NPPI). Effective immediately, NPPI has combined with Engine Power and will operate as “One Team,” bringing together 44 years of Kubota distribution experience with NPPI's established presence across Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota.
A Deeper, More Capable Team
Since its founding 45 years ago, Engine Power has supported Kubota, Ford, and Honda products across nearly all off-road equipment markets. The integration of Engine Power and former NPPI employees creates an expanded team with broader engineering, product support, and service capabilities for customers across the region.
The Eagan, MN facility will continue existing operations, and Engine Power is committed to maintaining a long-term presence in the region.
Uninterrupted Business, Familiar Contacts
Customers can expect business as usual during the transition:
- Orders and payments made out to NPPI will continue to be accepted while systems transition.
- All orders and quotations previously acknowledged by NPPI will be honored and fulfilled by Engine Power.
- Customers will continue working with their existing NPPI contacts for account management, product support, engineering, order processing, and accounts payable.
- Northern Power Products' previous owner and President, Brad Van Horn, will consult with Engine Power for six months to ensure a smooth transition.
Over time, customers will be introduced to additional members of Engine Power's support team, along with new tools and processes designed to enhance the customer experience.
